“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

We see in these verses what God has done for us, how He did it, and what is expected of us because of this. Notice the use of “and” in verses 18 & 19.  Because he reconciled us we have been given the ministry of reconciliation.  If we have committed ourselves to Him then we have also committed to delivering the message of the gospel.  It’s not 2 separate things. These are inclusive of each other.  Our acceptance of his gift means it’s now our mission to share that gift. We do this directly with our words and indirectly with our actions and lifestyle.  Again this is an inclusive “and”,  these 2 things go together as our witness for Jesus. 

Acknowledge who you are in Jesus and spread the message of the gospel as His humble representatives.
